sources and inspirations of the great Polish composer in national and folk music
An extraordinary concert, presenting to the listeners the genesis of Fryderyk Chopin’s work and thus showing the figure of the greatest Polish composer from a slightly different angle.
The program of the concert consists of the master’s compositions in the preparation of early instruments and voice, as well as Polish dances and songs (folk and court) from Chopin’s time and earlier epochs, which became the canvas of his wonderful mazurkas, songs and polonaises.
Fryderyk brandishing oberek, parodying a country players, “creaking” on the bass during rural fun; in love with folk music, a sensitive man with an extraordinary sense of humor – it’s Chopin, what you do not know!

Works by Fryderyk Chopin and works from the sources of Polish music: Ossoliński and Czartoryski collections, Łańcucka and Jagiellońska libraries, from the Silva Rerum Musical collection and great ethnic musical collections of Oskar Kolberg.
