All this to show different aspects of the life of a medieval man, struggling with eternal adversities, having his moments of joy and sadness. There is time for fun, dance and love, but also for prayer, reflection on transience and death. The variety of genres, styles and compositional techniques means that HOMO MEDIEVALIS, in addition to its artistic values, has educational values, giving the listener a general outline of the musical culture of the Middle Ages.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image media=”800″ media_width_percent=”100″ alignment=”center” uncode_shortcode_id=”189208″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text text_lead=”yes” uncode_shortcode_id=”145800″]The repertoire of the concert includes pieces from both Polish and foreign music centers. These include the monodic antiphon “Sub Tuum praesidium”, a sequence about St. Wojciech from Gniezno, polyphony by Francesco Landini and Piotr from Grudzi\u0105dz, energetic, oriental-inspired dances from Italian manuscripts, pilgrim songs and traditional songs from northern Europe.<\/p>\n
