Maria Klich


Soprano, Hurdy-gurdy

She comes from Poznań, where she graduated from the Academy of Music (piano). She continued her studies at the Music Academy in Krakow and the Conservatoire National de Region in Lyon, France (solo singing). She furthered her skills during a one-year scholarship at the University of Music in Bucharest and at numerous master classes in Poland, France and Switzerland.

Maria has recorded the opera “The telephone or L’amour a trois” by G.C. Menotti for the Romanian Cultural Television and Radio Cultural (Romania).

She is permanently associated with the FLORES ROSARUM early music vocal ensemble, specializing in medieval monody, in particular the music of Saint Hildegard of Bingen. For 3 years she was a soloist with the IWIA Musical Theater. She has been singing with FLORIPARI since 2007.

Maria also plays the hurdy-gurdy, and she performs and records with  such ensembles as Floripari, Flores Rosarum, San Clemente, Perfugium, Jesuit Academic Choir, Octava Ensemble as well as the Krakow Philharmonic.

She participated in numerous international hurdy-gurdy workshops.

Maria teaches solo voice as part of the Postgraduate Studies in Liturgical Monody  at the John Paul II Papal University in Krakow, as well as voice and aural training at the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. As an educator, he also collaborates with the Gaudete choir.

She has performed in Poland, France, Romania, Algeria and Lithuania.
