Katarzyna Borstyn

In 1999 she graduated from the Ballet School in Krakow, in the class of Prof. Marta Mirocka, where she received a proffesional degree diploma in dance and choreography.
Katarzyna is an educator, choreographer and instructor in the fields of classical ballet, Polish national and regional dances, European national and regional dances, 19th-century ballroom dancing.
Since 2011 she has been teaching at the Krakow Opera Ballet Studio.
Founder (in 2009) and the leader of the Sotto le Stelle court ballet.
She created an original program teaching dance to primary and junior high school students. For 10 years she danced in the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet (formerly “Ardente Sole”). Since 2005, she has been cooperating closely with FLORIPARI and since 2010 with the Consortium Sedinum group as both dancer and choreographer. She conducts historical dance workshops for children, youth and adults. She collaborated with the Ardente Sole Foundation, leading workshops for children at the Historical Dance Festival in Krakow,as well as in cooperation with Scholares Minores Pro Musica Antiqua from Poniatowa, and Alta Danza ensemble from Warsaw.
In the years 2006 to 2010, she was the choreographer of the early music dance and music group Beani Cracovienses, with whom she won two Silver and one Bronze Harp “Eola” at the Festival of Early Music in Kalisz.
With excellent results, she completed a qualification course in the field of Polish Folk and National Dances in the class of Prof. Anatol Kocyłowski in Krakow.
She collaborates with the Krakow Opera and Philharmonic as a a dancer, often touring Poland as well as abroad, dancing in various styles. She worked as a dancer in the German project Helmut Lutz “Star Way” , performed in Krakow, Warsaw and the Czech Republic.
In addition to dancing, she holds numerous degrees in other fields. In 2005, she graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and holds a Master of Engineering Degree from Department of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering – Estimating Real Estate and Cadaster.
In 2016, she completed post-graduate studies at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, at the Faculty of Management – Quality Management in Enterprise. From 2018, she has been continuing post-graduate studies – University of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Faculty of Education, Major of Pedagogy.
